For trucks equipped with rear view camera part number 68274731AD, if it has been brought to the dealership due to a customer complaint of the rear view camera image being too dark or hard to see, or is exhibiting the issue while in for unrelated service, the issue resides in the rear view camera and NOT the radio screen or mirror (depending on vehicle content available), or corresponding wiring. Issues with a fully black screen or a blue screen are separate from this issue and therefore this Tech Tip does not apply. DO NOT replace the radio (part numbers 68271367A$, 68271368A$, 68271364A$, 68270657A$, 68270658A$, 68270659A$, 68270661A$, 68270662A$, 68270663A$, 68270664A$, or 68270665A$) or mirror (part number 68104884A$) to attempt to correct the dark image issue.
