Before replacing the AWD controller for no communication, check the ignition and battery feed for open circuits (pins 5 and 6 at the AWD controller). If found open check the unibody wiring harness and splices S317 or S306 on these 2 circuits for corrosion. These are the splices between the AWD and TIPM that are on the battery or ignition feed.
